Under the Minimum Foundation Program, Louisiana annually adopts a formula to equitably allocate funding for education to school districts. After satisfying all mandated requirements, school districts have the flexibility to spend the funding to meet the individualized needs of the schools and students. Through the Supplemental Course Academy (SCA), secondary schools may provide test prep courses for students during the school day at no cost to the student or school.
